We are seeking a well-rounded leader ready for growth with experience in the construction and real estate development industry.  We are in search of an experienced, self-motivated and financially insightful individual, who thrives in a dynamic, high-energy setting, to lead all aspects of our businesses in an efficient, profitable and productive manner.

You will be responsible for the financial well being of all accounting and administration functions. The role will be instrumental in scaling operations, driving financial health and enhancing organization effectiveness.

 

Role & Responsibility

 

Lead and facilitate all Financing and Accounting responsibilities, as well as Office Administration, while encouraging a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.

Develop strong financial strategies and plans to support the company’s growth and profitability goals.

Preparation of comprehensive financial statements from inception to finalization

Maintain streamlined intercompany accounting for a small group of closely connected businesses (5-7 entities).

Experience in handling foreign exchange transactions and related financial matters Act as an advisor to the ownership group with respect to financial planning, budget management and organization development.

Ensure accuracy of all financial and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting by staying up to date with Accounting and Tax Principles.

Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to financial and administrative operations.

Take ownership of and manage administrative functions within the office, including coordinating daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows, and handling key organizational tasks that support the smooth functioning of office activities.

Communicate financial metrics to the ownership group as required. Execute and ensure comprehensive payroll preparation for all personnel.

 

Education and Experience

CPA designation (required) 2-5 years experience working in a Senior Accounting and Finance position in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment (required)

Knowledge and ability to effectively and fluently navigate through QuickBooks Desktop – Contractor Edition (required)

Comfortable creating financial models and analyses to explore the details of the company’s operations.

Experience in construction accounting, including familiarity with job costing, project financial management, and industry-specific financial reporting.

Exceptional leadership and ability to work in a face-paced environment.

Analytical and strategic thinker with great decision-making capabilities, highly organized, proactive nature and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively under pressure and with flexible hours required to meet deadlines

Outstanding interpersonal skills with proven communication proficiency

Highly driven with a strong sense of initiative
