ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Bookkeeping (Group Office; Elimination Companies; Adhoc Divisions)

 

Manage all bookkeeping activities for Group Office, Elimination Companies & Adhoc Divisions Examine accounting records and prepare financial statements and reports Prepare and enter journal entries Prepare annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts, and track to actual results 2. Reporting

 

Reporting includes weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. (e.g Consolidated Capital Reporting, Tooling, KPIs, P&L flash, etc.) Liaise with Finance teams in the Corporate and Divisions to ensure an effective communication process Prepare monthly reconciliation (e.g. balance sheet accounts, intercompany elimination; etc.) Ensure integrity of general ledger and sub-ledgers 3. Support Budget Preparation

 

Building automation & financial models/templates to support various Group’s needs Assistance with budget preparation (Group Office budgets, Final Review of Divisions, Presentation Materials, etc.) 4. Adhoc Reporting / Group Support

 

Plan, set up and administer accounting systems and prepare financial information Support ad hoc projects as needed Building automation & financial models/templates to support various Group’s needs Maintain existing templates and manage annual roll-over (e.g. Tooling & Capital Trackers) Prepare weekly critical payments summary Support reporting for actuals/forecasts/budgets - monthly, quarterly, annual SAP & OneStream SME Participate in review of Divisional Balance Sheet Reconciliations Support reconciliation activity Assist with Royalty reporting; VAT tax filings; tariffs reporting 5. Audit Support:

 

Participate in review of Annual Divisional Audit Packs Prepare Audit Packs for Group office and elimination divisions 6. Administrative Support

 

Responsible for banking activities including approving/releasing vendor payments (EFTs, Wires, etc) in the applicable system Processing expense reports System update verification & approval (e.g. bank payment processing; new vendor setup; etc) D&B queries as requested QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Are within two years of obtaining CPA designation.
  • University Degree in Business preferred.
  • Experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment (considered an asset)
  • In depth knowledge of manufacturing, overhead application, costing principles, inventory management and controls (considered an asset).
  • Have above average written, analytical and oral communication skills.
  • Have the ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in the organization.
  • Are computer literate, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel)
  • Extremely analytical and highly organized.
  • Experience working in a fully integrated ERP system (SAP experience considered an asset)
  • Experience working with consolidation software (OneStream experience considered an asset)
