Senior Financial Analyst Financial Reporting & Accounting Administration (up to 12 months)

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting and Accounting Administration is responsible for a range of financial accounting responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting in the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements, the annual Financial Information Return and Public Sector Salary Disclosure for submission for the Ministry of Finance, coordination and preparation of account reconciliations , support with the implementation of finance modernization transformation initiatives underway with the City’s ERP system, JDE Edwards, and special projects in Accounting Services; streamline, develop and administer procedures and policies where required. This role will be responsible or the books, records and preparation of financial statements for all of the City of Vaughan Hydro Corporations and other boards supporting the Manager of Property Tax and Assessment in preparation of tax levy payments and audit confirmations to the Region and School Boards, reviewing and approving Accounts Payable vendor files, supporting the Assistant Controller with general ledger maintenance, invoice review and approval, banking activities, and monthly and quarterly reporting.
