Term: Full Time – Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Review and validate Financial Statements for month, quarter and year end.
- Coordinate the implementation of Prophix in the respective Business Unit and also at a corporate level.
- Analyze and explain monthly results and KPI’s.
- Coordinate all budgeting and planning activities relative to Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows
- Research and prepare technical accounting memos on issues such as joint control, business combinations, levies, pension, ARO etc. as required in US GAAP
- Update position papers for US GAAP and provide accounting policy expertise
- Coordinate resolution of accounting and reporting issues.
- Analyze potential acquisitions/divestments
- Gather and complete the necessary planning/budgeting reports to be submitted to parent company
- Positively interface on a regular basis with BU staff to ensure accurate information and gain insights
- Review budgets, forecasts, actual results, strategic plan to ensure high quality reporting of financial indicators and detailed
- supporting commentaries.
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of budgets, forecasts, actual results, strategic plan and Ad Hoc projects to assist in management's review and decision making
- Review complex business transactions and identify relevant accounting and reporting issues
- Prepare financial presentation on a periodic and Ad Hoc basis.
- Research, document, and communicate accounting and reporting issues
- Ensure conformity with company accounting and reporting standards
- Contribute to improvements in accounting policies, procedures, and processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business
- CPA, CA, CGA, CMA (or final stages)
- Must have 3 years of external audit experience
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ work experience
- Financial Accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills required, SAP experience preferred, and large ERP experience required
- Manufacturing sector experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, able to meet deadlines and prioritize work in a pressure environment
- Analysis and problem solving – effectively examine events, issues and problems and generate optimal solutions in a timely manner
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Able to demonstrate flexibility with job duties and scope of work
- Superior skills in data management and use of electronic analytic tools
