About the Role: As a Senior Corporate Accountant you'll provide essential accounting, bookkeeping, and client management support, playing a crucial role in maintaining our clients' fiscal health and ensuring seamless financial operations. As a Senior Corporate Accountant you will work with a wide range of clients from complex to non-complex, small and medium-sized businesses.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Maintain financial records using QuickBooks and Keeper.app to keep our clients’ financial records accurate and up-to-date.
  • Reconcile accounts by gathering and balancing information to ensure precision in our financial reporting.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies by posting adjusting journal entries.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts, including accounts receivable and payable, fixed asset depreciation, and accruals.
  • Provide vital financial information by preparing financial reports, assisting in budget and forecast preparation, and conducting monthly variance analysis.
  • Prepare audit working papers, liaise with auditors, and manage government tax filings and claims.
  • Collaborate with the Management team and our sister company, Phoenix Financial Solutions, to meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Recommend and implement practice and procedure improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • CPA designation.
  • Experience with QuickBooks & Simply Accounting.
  • 3+ years in a Managerial Accounting/Analysis or a related role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent post-secondary education.
  • Experience with Excel (can perform complex functions
  • Working English Language Proficiency, additional languages as an advantage
