Founded in 1946, Vancouver City Savings Credit Union, known simply as Vancity, is Canada's largest community credit union, with $35.5 billion in assets plus assets under administration. Its offices and 52 branches are in Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Victoria, Squamish and Alert Bay, within the unceded territories of the Coast Salish and Kwakwaka’wakw peoples. Vancity is the largest private sector Living Wage Employer in Canada and has been consistently recognized as one of the Top Employers in Canada.  Vancity’s vision is transformational—both organizationally and systemically.

Vancity has recently appointed a new CEO who is advancing a new and exciting vision for the business that has been welcomed from all quarters. The new vision includes using the power of finance to advance social responsibility and drive revenue and impact. It is within this new vision that the CFO will operate a critical business partner to achieve Vancity’s growth.

Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) leads Vancity’s financial strategy and ensures the organization has the financial insight and discipline to achieve sustainable growth and earnings that support the achievement of business goals. The CFO oversees finance, treasury, financial modelling & forecasting and the analytics COE. The CFO focuses on Vancity’s long term value creation and ensures compliance with financial regulations and standards.  The CFO Chairs the Asset & Liability Committee and is also CFO of Vancouver Community Investment Bank.
