Calling All CPA Ontario Members and Public Representatives

for a Unique Volunteer Opportunity Upholding the Highest Standards of the Profession with the Adjudicative Tribunals of CPA Ontario

 

CPA Ontario is currently in search of volunteers to serve as Adjudicators with our Adjudicative Tribunals. The appointments are for a one-year term and may be eligible for reappointment for a maximum of three additional three-year terms.

 

What You Would be Doing:

Hearing and deciding matters of good character, allegations of professional misconduct, or appeals brought from decisions of the Registrar and the Discipline, Admission and Registration, and Capacity committees.

Reviewing refusals by the Public Accounting Licensing Board to grant a licence.

Determining whether a member is incapacitated and the restrictions to be placed on that member, if any.

 

Who You Are:

Willing to serve as a volunteer and one of the following:

Professional representatives – presently a CPA in good standing, especially:

  • those with a Public Accounting Licence (PAL), and
  • members from Ontario, but outside the greater Toronto area (GTA)

Public representatives – a member of the public who is not CPA with regulatory or adjudicative experience. CPA Ontario members may apply here
