Responsibilities

Manage external auditors through the audit process to ensure their requests are dealt with effectively and efficiently.

Preparation of Annual Budgets, Monthly Financial and Cash Flow Management Statements

Complete monthly reconciliation, recovery estimate reconciliation and set-up to ensure timely calculation of recovery accruals.

Prepare and review monthly and annual pension & benefit contributions, payroll, and government reporting to ensure accuracy.

Maintain rent roll and associated percentage rent, common area and tax charges in finance system as per lease agreement.

Maintain an up-to-date record of all negligent accounts by preparing a variety of accounts receivable reports and letters.

Review, verify, interpret and accurately input a variety of information related to clients' leases.

Respond to inquiries from tenants by reviewing leases and billings for accuracy.

Liaise with Financial institutions and Mortgagors as required.

Assists in ensuring that key controls over financial reporting are operating effectively.

Prepare and review the performance of financials, provide sound financial advice and recommendations, and identify efficiency opportunities.

Support the Senior Management and Ownership, with insightful and detailed analyses to assist in operational decisions.

Manage and review the activities of direct report to ensure the timely and accurate completion of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, invoicing and collection accordance with deadlines.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

• University degree in Business combined with CPA or equivalent accreditation;
• Experience in Commercial Real Estate with relevant experience in the preparation of financial statements;
• Fully literate with real estate accounting policies and procedures;
• Experience in external audit is required;
• Fully computer literate, with extensive excel skills;
• Knowledge of Yardi Voyager an asset.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
