The Financial Reporting department is dedicated to support the University's financial reporting and analysis and ongoing development, maintenance, and monitoring of York University's financial and reporting systems. Under the direction of the Manager, Financial Reporting and Systems, the Senior Financial Analyst role works to ensure that the goals and objectives of York University's Financial Reporting department are achieved. The role carries out a broad scope of responsibilities which includes conducting complex financial analyses, data extraction, report production and interpretation, Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) filing and compliance, month- and year-end activities and system design, development, enhancement, and testing. The role also provides consultative services to the York Community which include training and understanding financial reports.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:

Education:

• Bachelors degree in relevant discipline, such as Business Administration or Accounting. CA,CGA, CMA In good standing.

Experience:

• 4 years of related experience. Experience working in a complex and large organizations in a similar role. Experience with complex data management, maintaining, analyzing, and monitoring complex financial records. Experience assessing materiality levels and exercising sound professional judgement.
