We are looking for an experienced and skilled Financial Controller with a passion for digital marketing to join our dynamic team!
The Financial Controller is responsible for all Accounting/Finance functions of the Agency. This includes, but is not limited to, managing the financial operations, guiding and developing financial planning, budget management, policy compliance, and internal controls.
This is a full-time position, working in a hybrid model. Candidates should be able to travel to our Studio in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare the financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals
- Manage the day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoice/billing, customer credit & collections, payroll, and inventory of assets
- Review commission reports and ensure marketing programs are meeting their margin goals
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations to management to improve financial results
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget, including working with department leads to develop accurate revenue and expense projections
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and revenue growth
- Supervise the Accounts Receivable Administrator, including coaching and mentoring, providing guidance and support, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of all activities
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of financial systems, processes, and controls
- Apply for grants, identify financial opportunities and operational efficiencies, providing recommendations for implementation
- Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
- Contribute to special projects with executives as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA accounting designation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience post designation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards and regulations
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial software systems
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and FreshBooks an asset
