Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association is looking for professionals willing to contribute their time and expertise on our Board of Directors in the capacity of volunteer Board member.
Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association (HHSVA) is a non-profit organization that supports patient care at Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) through the operation of cafes, cafeterias, parking facilities, gift shops and other retail services across the HHS family of hospitals. All profits generated across HHSVA shops and services are donated to HHS to enhance patient care. Donations fund much needed patient capital equipment, patient services programs, operational costs, maintain and upgrade retail and parking facilities, recognize and support volunteers, and support HHS staff with education funding and staff appreciation.
We are looking for individuals that are willing to contribute their time and expertise to the organization in the capacity of volunteer Board member. As a skills-based Board, applicants with accounting, information technology or hospital/medical expertise would be considered preferred candidates. The HHSVA Board of Directors considers diversity an important aspect of recruiting an effective Board.
The position of Director requires a minimum time commitment of approximately 7 hours per month for the months of September, November, March & May and a willingness to uphold the values of our organization. Directors serve a minimum of a two-year term, up to a maximum of six consecutive years.
