Senior Director, Finance & Business Transformation
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
The Senior Director, Finance & Business Transformation reports to the CFO and is responsible for providing direction and working with the different functions among the organization to oversee all finance related objectives and deliverables and for managing the full accounting cycle. The Senior Director, Finance & Business Transformation is responsible for leading the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the financial statements are compiled with ANSPO rules for both entities within the organization and ensure relationship management with external auditors.
- Ensure adequate controls are in place and exist around the recognition for both revenues and expenses.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance function of the organization and work hand in hand with the Senior Manager, FP&A to coordinate, prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual rolling forecasts and prepare reporting on actuals vs. budgeted results, including additional ad-hoc analysis on results.
- Drive and oversee the transformation of the finance function (Process, People, System).
- Engage, motivate, and develop a motivated team of 6-8 people through ability to communicate, empower and develop team member.
- Recruit and lead a talented accounting team with ethical standards, quality, commitment and focus on customer service with a strong work methodology.
- Embrace and champion changes throughout the organization by promoting best practices support to the organization.
- Drive and manage all the phases of an ERP implementation while providing recommendations on best practices regarding new technologies.
- Manage and conduct all activities related to treasury management.
- Participate and develop insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction and lead strategic business decisions in collaboration with the Senior Manager, FP&A.
- Manage and oversee all transactional processes related to the business (Accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll among others).
- Maintain awareness of proper internal controls and make recommendations for any deficiencies.
- Contribute and participate to the performance review report and support the preparation of quarterly board package in collaboration with the Senior Manager, FP&A.
WHO YOU ARE?
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with CPA Designation (Must have).
- A minimum of 15-17 years of professional experience.
- Prior experience managing a Finance function and strong experience in business transformation and system implementation (proven experience in this area is a must)
- Strong relationship acumen and is a team player.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills.
- Proficient knowledge of ASPE or and ANSPO rules.
- Strong ability to delegate and plan ahead.
- Understand and drive payroll processes (hand-in-hand with payroll team)
- Challenge status quo and do not take results for granted.
- Strong capacity to adjust to audience.
- Positive attitude and savvy of changes.
- Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Power point and best practices with new technologies
- Autonomous.
- Ability to navigate in a multi-tasking environment.
- Creative, problem solving, and results-oriented while ability to synthetize the message.
- Potential to build a team and expand its function.
