Position Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Vice President of Finance who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, overseeing financial operations, and providing financial analysis and guidance to the executive team. Reporting to the President and CEO, this is a high impact and strategic role focused on fostering collaborative and effective business partnerships across the organization.
As an experienced finance partner from either the automotive, professional service and/or outsourcing industry, you will be responsible for business planning, forecasting, financial reporting, financial modeling, and strategic decision support. In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Team, President, and Board Members, while leading a team of eight (8) finance professionals to drive results.
Key Functions
- Lead and continually develop the Finance team through fostering collaboration and open communication. Successfully lead finance and accounting operations for a growth organization, including preparation of budgets, monitoring expenditures, conducting variances and trend analysis, reporting on financial performance, and leading the financial planning, risk assessment, and business modeling activities to ensure a clear runway to future goals. Prior experience transitioning and enhancing financial reporting through automation and/or process improvements. Strong analytical, accounting, communication, and modeling skills with the ability to understand internal and external value drivers, ensuring accurate and adequate cash flow, equity, balance sheet, and profit and loss projections to senior management and board members. Prepare timely and accurate analyses, summaries, and reports of financial data on the operating progress of the company Create a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting structure that includes minimum cash thresholds to meet operational needs Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to identify and address issues affecting overall performance proactively Lead financial risk management and compliance efforts.
What You Need to Succeed
- Proven work experience leading financial teams and functions, or similar role Professional designation (e.g. CPA) in accounting, business, finance or equivalent 15+ years of experience operating, managing, and delivering results in a finance and accounting role Ability to think strategically, innovatively, and creatively using sound business judgement and quantitative /analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing others. In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit, tax compliance and other regulatory matters
