Play A Key Role In CPA Ontario Student Examinations
CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Pre-Certification Officer who will support various aspects of the Pre-Certification Program in Ontario with a focus on Examinations. As the Pre-Certification Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing leadership to the Examinations Team as they plan and deliver Professional Education Program (PEP), Preparatory (PREP) and other professional exams across the province of Ontario. Reporting to the Director, Pre-Certification Program, you will also manage the student examination accommodations process and support the student experience by providing guidance and managing escalations relating to PEP modules and exams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Overseeing the work of the examinations team who are responsible for planning, executing, and reconciling all examinations offered within Ontario.
Managing the accommodations process for students, and working with the Examinations Team to ensure the granted accommodations are properly documented and executed at the exam centres.
Supporting the PEP student experience by responding to inquiries and escalations as well as providing support and guidance.
Collaborating with CPA Canada on exam procedures and regulations as well as testing examination software.
Participating in the National Examination Working Group where you will influence how exams are delivered as well as improvements to examination processes and regulations.
Training outside contractors who provide CFE counselling to students on next steps in the program.
Supporting the Pre-Certification Officer, Exam Operations with the administration of examination facilities, examination budgeting, and hiring of external contractors, as needed.
Who You Are:
A post-secondary graduate who has completed the CPA program and is a CPA member in good standing with at least 5 years of post-qualification work experience. Knowledge of the CPA student process is highly preferred.
A strong leader with well-developed people and team management skills and the proven ability to work well under pressure, prioritize, multi- task, and meet deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
An effective communicator with excellent interpersonal, customer service, public speaking, relationship building and negotiating skills with a demonstrated ability to use solid judgement to handle challenging situations with professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
Digitally fluent with Word, Excel (advanced with the ability to design and build macros), PowerPoint, Outlook, Sharepoint, One Drive and TEAMS. Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM would be an asset.
A critical thinker with excellent time management, organization and problem solving skills.
Flexible and available to work outside of standard business hours when required, which includes some weekends.
